A Week of Mini-Miracles: Discovering the Power of Mantra Meditation
Written on
Chapter 1: Introduction to the Challenge
Last week, I had the pleasure of leading an online one-week mantra meditation challenge focused on enhancing creativity and intuition. Our group consisted of four participants, including myself.
Setting up this challenge felt akin to childbirth; it required significant time, effort, and energy to promote, prepare, and share. However, upon completion, I realized that every ounce of dedication was worthwhile. Throughout the week, I experienced numerous mini-miracles and synchronicities that reassured me I was on the right path, supported by the Universe.
Here’s a breakdown of my experiences during the one-week mantra meditation challenge:
Day 1: Signs from the Universe
The first day began with recording our initial online workshop. While uploading the videos that night, a firefly landed on my window next to my desk. Its blinking green light captivated me, and after I expressed my gratitude (attempting to capture the moment on video), it flew away. This felt like a clear message from the Universe, encouraging me to persist. Additionally, I had a successful podcast interview with The Inquisitive Wren, hosted by Sha, which I attributed to the energy of Saraswati’s mantra enhancing my communication skills.
Day 3: Learning Through Family
On the third day, an enlightening moment arose during a challenging episode with my son. This experience inspired me to write a blog titled “The Many Gifts of Meditation and Escaping Life Is Not One of Them.” My regular meditation practice allowed me to express my emotions safely, and I shared this insight with the group, highlighting the transformative power of our words.
Day 4: Embracing Creativity
By the fourth day, I felt a sense of pride from my creative accomplishments. I completed several flyers, one of which I had intended to create since December but had not found the time or motivation until now. For the first time in nearly three years, I used stock videos in one of my projects, which previously felt too time-consuming. Following my intuition and creative vision this time inspired me to invite the group to address any lingering tasks as we discussed going with the flow.
Day 5: Dream Insights
On the fifth day, I reflected on the emotions surfacing in my dreams over the past few nights. While these feelings were linked to my dream narratives, they also mirrored emotions I hadn't fully acknowledged in my waking life. I felt grateful for this subconscious processing, which connects to Saraswati’s energy, as her mantra relates to the sacral and throat chakras—centers of emotional expression. I encouraged the group to pay attention to their dreams, coinciding with a synchronicity when a participant shared a similar experience.

Day 6: Sharing Bhakti Yoga
On day six, I had the opportunity to teach Bhakti Yoga in two settings—both online and at Museflower. Meeting Daria inspired me deeply, as she aimed to embrace her voice more fully. This notion led me to ponder how we can all appreciate our voices. Our soul work today involved doing something differently, and when my son suggested we film a "band" session with his guitar, it sparked an idea for the group's final challenge.
Day 7: Shifting Perspectives
On the final day, my son fell ill, but with family support, I continued teaching. My discussion with Daria led me to consider how we perceive our voices—as performances rather than offerings. In today’s social media era, it’s easy to become fixated on external validation. However, I encouraged the group to view their voices as gifts to share, rather than as sources of self-criticism.
I proposed a fun challenge: to create a 30-second silly song video and share it within our private group. This would encourage everyone to step outside their comfort zones, much like children do with their playful videos.
Chapter 2: The Conclusion and Next Steps
The eighth day marked the conclusion of both the online challenge and the final day of the Bhakti Yoga study group, coinciding with a full moon. My son and I took a moment to release our intentions into the fire, signifying closure and gratitude for the journey we had shared.
However, the transformative journey did not end there. On day nine, I felt drawn to learn a new mantra, and on day ten, I released a wave of emotions through tears. By day eleven, I was filled with new ideas, which compelled me to document my reflections in this blog.
