As a frontend engineer, it's common to experience various JavaScript frameworks throughout one's career. Each framework comes with its own array of features, benefits, and drawbacks. Keeping updated with the latest tools and best practices is vital as technology continues to evolve.
In this article, I will share my personal journey through the world of frontend development, detailing my experiences with Angular, Vue, Svelte, and ultimately React. By explaining my transition from Vue to React, I hope to highlight the significance of switching frameworks in a frontend engineer's career. I will also share technical insights from the projects I undertook using both Vue and React.
Section 1.1: My Early Days in Frontend Development
My journey began as a frontend developer after spending two years working with Angular, a time during which I often felt less than satisfied. Discovering Vue.js was a revelation—it was incredibly developer-friendly, and I enjoyed using it for three years. However, after nearly a year of experimenting with React, I began questioning whether I had made the right choice in moving from one major JavaScript framework to another.
Is two years a sufficient timeframe to fully learn, explore, and master a JavaScript framework? This introspection led me to consider my feelings of uncertainty about this shift in my career.

Despite its many advantages, I soon faced limitations: Angular's verbose code and complex build processes could be overwhelming. I also became envious of the simpler syntax of frameworks like Vue and React, which seemed more intuitive and approachable.

After my experience with Angular, I found relief in Vue.js (2.6+), which I loved for its simplicity and user-friendly nature. Its Single-File Component (SFC) structure, alongside excellent TypeScript integration, made it appealing. However, while Vue excels in ease of use, it lacks some features found in more comprehensive frameworks like Angular, such as built-in testing tools.
